RAINES WORLD: LIVING ROOM

Design Vision: cozy, comfortable, and elevated.

Designing our new living room layout was like playing a game of Tetris. My husband, JR, and I spent time strategizing placements with our existing furniture pieces, studying how we could use pieces we already owned and loved in the new space’s orientation and smaller square footage. We landed on anchoring with our existing sectional and layering in a new coffee table and side chairs to balance things out. The ottomans were a final add to round out the conversation area and provide additional seating.

You know a design is in the right place when you feel magnetized to it, eagerly anticipating the next opportunity to relax with a book and a furry Goldendoodle (just me?). Now to strategize where the Christmas tree will go…
