HELLOI’m Amanda: designer, midwest dweller, and enneagram type seven using my words since 1991.
I’m a full-time creative at TENFOLD and TENSPACE, and I operate Mandaland as a passion project to share ideas, reflections, and anything else that helps us embrace creativity in everything. The ‘Bers are my favorite time of year. I was born and raised in Ohio, and I hope to live here forever.
JR and I were married young (21 and 23 years old) and have spent the last 12 years flipping houses, building our creative careers, and doing our best to become more like Jesus every day. Life at the moment is a blur of paint swatches, hungry dogs, dinners at our parents’, and snuggling our nieces and nephews.
More than anything, I hope what is shared here makes you laugh, inspires your soul, and helps you find the joy of a creative life.

How Forrest feels about Jenny is how I feel about our Goldendoodle.
We welcomed Georgie to our family in December 2019. We also have a Yorkie named Teddy… He picked Josh as his person and I’m still bitter about it.
I’m a night owl.
I reach my operational prime sometime between eight and eleven p.m. every day. So, if you like night caps and getting caught in the wee hours of the morning, come to Mandaland and escape.
My husband’s name is Josh, and we’ve been in love since July 4th, 2010.
He’s my guy – I often refer to him as my boyfriend but we do legally file our taxes jointly. We’re both designers, meaning our dinner conversation is usually talking about Pantone colors and a new font we found. Riveting, I know.

I believe you and I were created on purpose, with gifts and talents that God specifically gave to us. I believe God’s best for us is a life of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control… and I’m just trying to live them each out as best as I can.

I’ve spent much of my life feeling twisted up inside because too many voices told me I wasn’t enough. During a particularly tough season, my mom shared with me that the meaning of my name, Amanda, is worthy of love. Since that revelation, I made it my focus to embrace who God created me to be and live like he made me on purpose–because he did. He made you on purpose, too. We are each worthy of love, belonging, growth, help, inspiration, fulfillment… worthy of it all.
