Installing Lightroom Presets
Lightroom Presets are custom filters that make editing photos a breeze, creating consistency across your imagery and helping you to develop your signature visual style.
When installing Lightroom presets, you will be saving the preset from a .DNG file – an image that has the preset already applied to it.
This process can be done completely with just your iPhone by following the steps below. You can also download the preset file to your desktop, unzip and individually AirDrop them to your iPhone – start with step 3 if you choose this route.
INSTALLING PRESETS ON IPHONE
1. Download + Save to Files
Download your presets using your phone and save the zipped file to the Files app
If your presets are individual DNG files and not zipped, skip to Step 3
2. Unzip the file
Tap the zipped file in the Files app to open
Tap Preview Content to see the contents of the zip file
You can now view the files within the zipped file – swipe left and right to switch between them
3. Share the .DNG images to Lightroom
On each individual .DNG file, tap the Share button and select the Lightroom app to immediately send it over. (You should be prompted that the image will appear in your library the next time you open Lightroom.)
Repeat steps for each .DNG image in preset pack
4. Save .DNG image settings as Presets
Open your Lightroom app and select the Library button
You should see the .DNG images imported at the top of the Library
Select the image to open, and select the … button in the top right-hand corner
From the menu, select Create Preset
